The Lady Apaches took on the Lady Cardinals from Dodge City Thursday, Nov. 1, at Seymour Rogers Middle School. The eighth grade girls swept Dodge City, as both A and B teams were able to record a victory with the A-team pulling it out in a close one, 20-17.  The seventh grade girls however fell in both games as the Dodge girls took the A-team game 28-19, and the B-team game 24-11.

Jamie Flores led the eighth grade girls in the close contest with nine points. A big first quarter was too much to overcome for Dodge City as the Lady Apaches took an early lead, 9-2. From there, Apaches were able to hold off Dodge for the close victory to move to 1-1 on the season.

The seventh grade girls put together a 10-point fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough to pull off the comeback against the Dodge City Lady Cardinals. Keyona Hall led the Lady Apaches with six points and the seventh grade Lady Apaches fell to 0-2 on the season.

Both the eighth and seventh grade Lady Apaches were swept by the Lady Warriors of Eisenhower on Tuesday, Oct. 30.

The Lady Apaches will travel to Great Bend on Saturday, Nov. 10, to take on Great Bend and Hays.
