Eighth Grade Lady Apaches Fall in Nail-Biter in Garden, 27-34, Now Sit at 1-5

The eighth grade Lady Apaches also took on Hugoton Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Seymour Rogers School.

“It started pretty rough.” Eighth grade assistant head coach, Adam Regier said. “They were running up and down the court and we couldn’t keep up with them.” The Lady Eagles would run away with the contest as the Lady Apaches fell, 11-48.

The team struggled with endurance, but coach Regier did appreciate the girls’ aggression.

There was not many positive things to take away from B-team as they also fell, 8-24.

“My favorite part was the team being able to show that they can hit free throws,” Regier said. “ Our strength is being aggressive, but they need to improve communication, and need to come together to be more of a team.”

With the two losses the Lady Apaches are now 1-5 and will travel to Guymon on Nov. 27.
